The European Tax Awards have taken place annually since 2005, organised by the International Tax Review in order to to seek and recognise the leading international tax professionals from around Europe. The nominees are assessed according to their size, innovation and complexity based on which they are ranked depending on the country and line of business. On the award ceremony in London, 18th May leading national and international tax consulting firms were awarded in 27 categories for their outstanding achievements.
WTS Global, based in Munich, won the “German Tax Firm of the Year 2017″ award. „WTS has grown rapidly in Germany since the company was set up in 2000. During 2016 alone, we generated a group turnover of more than EUR 100 million. We are, therefore, all the more pleased to win these International Tax Review Awards, which underline this very positive development,” commented Fritz Esterer, CEO and Chairman of the Board of WTS Global.
Apart from WTS Germany, WTS Global has also won an award this year. The international network was rewarded as the “European Indirect Tax Firm of the Year 2017″. “This fact is double happiness for us. On the one hand, it gives feedback on how important the European and worldwide presence in this profession is. On the other hand, considering its volume, we won in the category of the most significant type of tax, the indirect tax – said Zoltán Lambert, Managing Partner of WTS Klient Hungary and the Coordinator of the 23 WTS Central and Eastern European countries.
„We are on the right path with our international growth strategy. Over the past few years, we have strengthened our international network with high-profile partners in the world’s most important markets. This allows us to provide our clients in more than 100 countries with the best possible service in terms of their cross-border issues,” added Esterer.
