We would like to draw your attention to the looming deadline for providing annual data to the National Inspectorate For
Environment, Nature and Water. The deadline for providing data on paper with regard to packaging waste is 31 January 2015.
For batteries, accumulators as well as electric and electronic equipment, however, there is a little more time available. In these cases, the annual data must be provided to the National Inspectorate For Environment, Nature and Water by 20 February 2015.
One new feature is that this data can only be provided electronically – via the government portal – for which authorisation must be registered in advance, also electronically. If this data is not supplied, or not in the appropriate manner, the waste management penalty is typically HUF 200,000, but in certain cases can reach HUF 1 million.
