As of 1 January 2024, two of the leading players in the Hungarian accounting and tax advisory market, WTS Klient – which recently celebrated its 25th anniversary – and Finacont, have merged and will continue to operate under the name of WTS Klient Business Advisory Ltd., with nearly 300 experts and sales revenue of HUF 4.5 billion.
An accounting firm established in 1998 by Hungarian individuals, Klient set up its tax consulting division in 2004, and joined WTS Global in 2013, one of the world’s leading tax and financial advisory networks. Over time the firm grew into a company employing 130 people and generating annual sales revenue of more than HUF 2.3 billion. Headquartered in Germany, WTS achieved global sales last year of EUR 226 million, an increase of 12% compared to the previous year.
Also founded by Hungarian individuals, in 2002, the dynamic development of Finacont has led to the emergence of a similar-sized company.In 2023 the company’s sales revenue will reach an estimated HUF 2 billion with more than 135 employees.
According to Zoltán Lambert, managing partner of WTS Klient Business Advisory Ltd. the synergy in the merger between the two companies lies not only in the similarity of their services, but also in how they complement each other. WTS Klient’s tax advisory and business automation businesses coupled with Finacont’s financial outsourcing and HR services mean the combined company covers the full range of services in the business advisory market.
